As the placemaking movement takes a big step forward, we are thrilled about your interest in taking part. To succeed we need your help. We are seeking your active commitment to become a part of our collective impact network.
PlacemakingX is about working with like-minded individuals to drive large-scale cultural change that puts place at the heart of all we do. These guidelines were created to help us all work better together to achieve big things.
You’re not a rock or an island. You aim to create meaningful connections and work with people from different backgrounds, disciplines, and communities. You understand how important unexpected partnerships are to successful placemaking.
You realize that Placemaking is a process, not an outcome. When working in a place, you always put the community first.
You can see how various (sometimes unlikely) pieces fit together to create a great public destination. The term “silo-busting” gets your feet tapping.
You value other people’s opinions and cultures. In your conversations, you listen and speak from an “I” perspective.
